What are Affirmations? No, Really!
There are some people who believe that affirmations do not work for them. Strangely, they are in fact using affirmations. The very statement that they say "Affirmations do not work for me", is an affirmation! Now let us briefly look at what an affirmation really is. Affirmations are statements that we say with a sense of declaration that something is true. So when some say a statement such as "affirmations do not work for me", with a sense of truth in it, they are actually using one strong affirmation.
That brings us to the point that, we have been using affirmations all the time. Yes, affirmations are all those statements we keep saying, some also frequently, with a lot of feeling and meaning it to ourselves. They can be positive affirmations or negative affirmations. Now look back and think, what kind of affirmations have we been using all along. How often are we saying, "I am a lucky person", "I am a happy person", or "Life is so perfect that it couldn't be better". And how often do we say, "There's no way it will work" or "I'm not going to get any better at this" or "life sucks".
Whatever we say or think creates a nerve impulse from the brain to the rest of the body. A fearful thought would result in sweating and increased heartbeat etc. A happy thought gives a very comfortable feeling in the body. So from now on, as much as possible, become aware of what kind of thoughts give rise to what kind of sensations in the body.
Affirmations are very powerful. If your body illnesses or life situations can be healed by simply saying statements that can reverse the condition that caused it, then why not use it to our optimum advantage?
